(4 servings)

cauliflower 600 g
smoked paprika 3 tsp
canned corn 60 g
dried basil 2 tsp

for sauce:
milk (I used soy) 2 cups
wheat flour 3 tbsp
bay leaf 1 pc
nutmeg pinch
ground black pepper, salt to taste

Divide cauliflower into medium-sized cubes, put on a baking sheet, sprinkle with paprika, basil, sprinkle with oil and bake at 200C for 20 minutes.

Prepare the sauce: in a saucepan with a thick bottom, bring the milk to a boil, make the fire to a minimum. Sift flour into the milk. Constantly stirring to bring to a boil. Add spices, salt. Cook over medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. The sauce should be as thick as sour cream.

Transfer the cooked cauliflower into a baking dish (I have a square 18x18). Put the corn on top. Pour the cauliflower with the prepared sauce. Sprinkle grated cheese on top (optional), you can garnish with tomatoes and pine nuts. Bake for 30 minutes at 180C.
