ready-made chickpeas 240 g
tomato sauce or chopped tomatoes in can 100 g
ground coriander 1 tsp
ground paprika 0.5 tsp
ground cumin 0.5 tsp
garam masala 0.5 tsp
cloves 4 pcs.
bay leaf 1 pc.
cinnamon 1 stick or 0.5 tsp ground
salt to taste
garlic or asafoetida to taste

In a saucepan with a thick bottom, heat the cooking oil (I have 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil). Add spices and fry over medium heat for 20-30 seconds. Add tomato sauce, chickpeas, salt, stir, bring to a boil and simmer under a closed lid over low heat for 10 minutes.
